New: One-Click QR Code Templates โ 18 Themes and Social Media Presets
Published March 17, 2026 ยท By the QR Code Banana Team
Designing a QR code used to mean tweaking dot styles, picking gradient colors, choosing finder patterns, and adjusting background colors one setting at a time. It works โ but it takes time to land on a combination that actually looks good together.
Today we are launching Templates โ 18 curated design presets you can apply with a single click. Pick a theme, and every visual setting updates instantly. Your QR code is still 100% scannable, 100% free, and generated entirely in your browser.
See Them in Action
Here is a taste of what is available. Every QR code below is real, scannable, and links to qrcodebanana.com:
These are not static images. Each one is generated live using the same engine that powers the editor. What you see here is exactly what you get when you download.
10 Themed Presets
Our themed templates combine dot styles, color gradients, background tones, and finder pattern shapes into cohesive visual identities. Each one is designed to feel complete out of the box.
A few highlights:
- Ocean pairs dot-style modules with a cool blue gradient and rounded finder patterns โ clean and modern
- Galaxy goes bold with purple-to-cyan on a dark background and star-shaped finder centers
- Cyberpunk uses diamond modules with neon pink-to-cyan gradients on near-black โ perfect for tech and gaming
- Luxury combines classy-style dots with a gold gradient on dark stone โ great for premium branding
- Minimal keeps things simple with smooth gray modules on a near-white background โ when you want the QR code to blend in, not stand out
Every template sets the dot style, foreground color mode (single or gradient), gradient colors, background color, and finder pattern styles. You still control everything else: error correction, margin, logo, frame, and download size.
8 Social Media Presets
Need a QR code for your Instagram profile? YouTube channel? Spotify playlist? Our social media templates use each platform's official brand colors so your QR code matches the destination.
Each social preset uses the platform's primary brand color applied to the right dot style:
- Instagram โ Purple-to-orange gradient with rounded dots, matching the iconic gradient
- YouTube โ Classic red on white with classy-style dots
- TikTok โ Cyan-to-pink gradient on dark background, just like the logo
- Spotify โ Green on dark with smooth dots, matching the app's feel
- X โ Clean black on white with classic square modules
- LinkedIn โ Professional blue with classy-style dots
- WhatsApp โ Bright green with rounded modules
- Facebook โ Blue with smooth dots on white
How It Works
- Open the editor at qrcodebanana.com and enter your URL, text, or any other QR data
- Expand the Templates section โ it is the first collapsible panel, right below the data input
- Pick a category โ switch between "Themes" and "Social Media" tabs
- Click a template โ all visual settings update instantly and the preview refreshes
- Customize further if you want โ change a color, switch the dot style, add a logo. The template auto-deselects when you make manual changes, so you are always in control
- Click "Reset to default" any time to go back to the classic black-on-white look
- Download as SVG, PNG, or JPG โ same as always, no restrictions
Templates + Logos + Frames
Templates work with everything else in the editor. Apply a template, then:
- Add a logo โ the template's colors frame your logo beautifully. Error correction automatically bumps to High (30%) to keep things scannable
- Add a frame โ wrap your themed QR code in a frame with a call-to-action like "Follow us" or "Scan for menu"
- Adjust the background โ swap to transparent if you need to overlay the QR code on a custom design
Everything composes. A Cyberpunk-themed QR code with your logo and a "Join the Server" frame? One minute, zero design skills required.
Always Scannable, Always Free
Every template is a carefully chosen combination of settings that we know produce scannable results. There is no AI generation, no external API, no server processing. Your QR code is rendered entirely in your browser using the same SVG engine as always.
That means:
- Instant โ no loading spinners, no waiting for generation
- Private โ your data never leaves your device
- Free โ no credits, no watermarks, no premium tier
- Reliable โ every template has been tested for scannability across devices
What Changed Under the Hood
For the curious: we replaced our experimental AI Art feature with the templates system. The AI approach required external image generation APIs, produced inconsistent scannability, and added complexity without enough payoff. Templates give you beautiful, themed QR codes that are instant, deterministic, and always work.
The templates system is entirely client-side TypeScript โ about 200 lines of preset definitions and a lightweight panel component. No new dependencies, no API calls, no bundle size increase worth mentioning.
