Is the QR code generator free?
Yes. The generator, every design option, and every download format are free, with no signup and no watermark. Banana Pro only adds server features: dynamic codes and scan analytics.
What happens to my QR codes if I cancel Banana Pro?
Static codes keep working forever because they encode your data directly. Dynamic codes depend on our redirect service, so they stop redirecting when your subscription ends. They work again if you subscribe again.
Can I get a refund?
Yes. Email us within 30 days of your first payment and you get a full refund. You can cancel at any time from your billing settings.
Can I turn a static code into a dynamic code?
No. A static code contains the destination itself, so it cannot be changed after printing. Create a dynamic code before you print if you expect the destination to change.
How does password protection work?
You set a password on a dynamic code. Scanners see a password screen first, and a correct password is remembered on their device for 24 hours. We only store a hash of the password. It protects the QR link, not the destination URL, so do not share the destination URL itself if it must stay private.
Do my scan analytics collect personal data?
No. We record the approximate location, device type, and browser of each scan. IP addresses are hashed with a salt that changes daily and are never stored.
