How QR Code Generation Works

All QR code generation happens entirely in your web browser using client-side JavaScript. The data you enter never leaves your device. When you customize and download a QR code, the processing happens locally — no server requests are made.

Hosting

Our website is hosted on standard web infrastructure. Like any web server, basic server logs (IP addresses, request timestamps, browser user agents) may be recorded by our hosting provider as part of normal operations. We do not access or analyze these logs for tracking purposes.

Analytics

We use Simple Analytics for basic website usage statistics. Simple Analytics is a privacy-first analytics tool that:

  • Does not use cookies
  • Does not collect or store IP addresses
  • Does not collect personal data
  • Does not use fingerprinting
  • Respects the Do Not Track browser setting
  • Is GDPR compliant without requiring cookie consent

Simple Analytics collects only aggregated, non-personal data such as page views, referrer sources, browser type (without detailed version), device viewport, and visitor country (derived from timezone, not IP). You can read more about their approach at what Simple Analytics collects.

We also record anonymous events when you create a QR code: the QR code type, the file format, and the export action (download, copy, or share). For links, your browser computes a broad category such as "document" or "social" and sends only that category. The link itself is never sent. These events contain no personal data, and we publish aggregate results in our QR code statistics.

Third-Party Services

We use Google Fonts to serve web fonts. Google may collect basic usage data as described in their privacy policy. We also use Simple Analytics as described above.

Changes to This Policy

If we make any changes to this privacy policy, we will update this page. Our commitment to not collecting user data will not change.
